Eligibility Criteria for SBM-G Assam Recruitment

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Procurement/Business Administration/Engineering Project Planning and Management or other related courses from a Govt.-recognized University/Institution.
    OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a Govt.-recognized University/Institution.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of general experience in procurement services.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Government Procurement/PSU/World Bank-aided Projects.
  • Experience in processing high-value contracts subject to international competition will be an added advantage.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 30 years
  • Maximum Age: 45 years
    (As on 01.01.2025)

Other Desirable Skills

  • Good computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job Responsibilities

The State Procurement Specialist will:

  • Manage procurement of goods, services, and consultancies under SBM-G Assam.
  • Prepare procurement plans, cost estimates, and tender documents (IFB, EOI, RFP, RFQ, NIT).
  • Coordinate tendering, bid evaluation, and contract management.
  • Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Support Mission Director, SBM-G, and Chief Engineer (PHE), Sanitation in all procurement-related activities.
