The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri District, has announced recruitment for 3 GIS Assistant posts under the Gauripur, Athani, and Chapar Revenue Circles. This is a golden opportunity for graduates and postgraduates with GIS & Remote Sensing skills to work on real-world geospatial projects and contribute to government initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 45 years (as on 01.01.2025)

Educational Qualification:

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Geography / Geology / Mathematics / Geo-informatics / Physics / Computer Science or related fields with Certificate/Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing OR
    • M.Tech / M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing / Geo-informatics OR
    • MCA / M.A. / M.Sc. in Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Environmental Science with GIS/Remote Sensing certification.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with spatial data formats (Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML)
  • Data collection, analysis, and visualization skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams

Experience:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with 2+ years’ relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Digitization of cadastral and non-cadastral geospatial data
  • Quality assurance of GIS datasets
  • Preparation of maps, reports, and visualizations
  • Drone image interpretation
  • Field data collection and process documentation
  • Supporting government officials in GIS projects
